About the Journal
Engagement: Jurnal Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal published by Asosiasi Dosen Pengembang Masyarakat (ADPEMAS) Forum Komunikasi Dosen Peneliti (FKDP). It provides a forum for academics, practitioners, and community representatives to explore issues and reflect on practices relating to the full range of community engagement activity, and is dedicated to the publication of high-quality research on community service and its implementation.
From Volume 10 (2026), Engagement is published quarterly and manuscripts follow the APA Style citation format.

Focus and Scope
The scope of Engagement is Society Development and Engagement. The journal publishes research-based community service results using a range of methodologies, including:

Participatory Action Research — participatory action research carried out with the community as the subject of change.

Asset Based Community Development — community development built on local assets and strengths.

CBR
Community-Based Research — research based in the community, addressing real community needs and problems.

Service Learning
Learning that integrates academic study with service to the community.

Community Development
Community development, outreach, extension, and community service across all fields.

Other Methodologies
Engaged research, action research, public scholarship, and other participatory approaches to Society Development and Engagement.
