This guideline is regenerated since publication from May 2018. So, the manuscript that has been publish since December 2018, follow this Author Guidelines.

Before You Begin
Here introduces the manuscript, and put a nomenclature if necessary, in a box with the same font size as the rest of the manuscript. The paragraphs continue from here and are only separated by headings, subheadings, images and formula. The section headings are arranged by numbers, bold, 12 pt and with Cambria Font. Total words in Manuscript is range from 4000 to 8000 words.
Engagement: Jurnal Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat manuscript should be divided into the following sections: (1) Title page, (2) Abstract and Keywords (4) Introduction, (5) Methods, (6) Results and Discussion, (7) Conclusion, (8) Acknowledgements if any, and (9) References. Filling the title page is required when your manuscript is ready to publish. The manuscript title should be clear, concise, informative, and limited to 10 words including conjunctions. Subtitles, colons, and nonstandard abbreviations are unacceptable.
For Author that will submit the new manuscript to our system, please remove the name of Author because our peer-review process is double-blind review. You as an author will be required to accept the Journal Publishing Agreement for when you submit your manuscript to our journal. This agreement covers authorship, originality and conflicts of interest. Please read this agreement to ensure your submission complies.
To verify the originality of your manuscript, it will be checked by the plagiarism detection service TURNITIN. Please write your manuscript into our template that we provide.
Language
Your submitted manuscript must be in good, grammatically correct English. If English is not your native language, you should seek the help of an English Language Editing service or professional translator. If your manuscript is accepted to be published on our journal, we also arrange a proofreading process to make sure language on your manuscript is suitable for academic purpose. The type of English for this manuscript is "American English".
Manuscript
All manuscripts must be formatted to 30 mm margins, single-spaced, with Cambria 12pt font, with page size of 210 mm x 297 mm (A4 size). Including the body of the manuscript, references, endnotes, tables, and figures, all material should be no longer than 10 single-spaced pages. The Manuscripts should be written in English and prepared in accordance with the submission guidelines of the journal. The total word count of the manuscript should be between 6000 to 8000 words.
On this journal, type of manuscript is Applied Science Paper. An applied science paper is based on original research related to community engagement program. The kind of research depends on your field or the topic of community engagement (a program that has be done, an experiment, the impact of your program, survey, interview, questionnaire, etc.). The research paper will be based on the analysis and interpretation between theory and community engagement program and you need to explain the problems faced by the local community where the program is conducted.
Author Guidelines
GUIDING PRINCIPLES
An acceptable manuscript will meet the following general criteria: it reports a worthwhile contribution to science, sound methodology was used and is explained with sufficient detail so that other capable scientists could repeat the experiments. Conclusions are supported by data, manuscripts is concise, well written, and understandable.
MANUSCRIPT FORMAT
Manuscript should be arranged in the following standard format: Title, Author's Name and Affiliation, Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Method, Result, Discussion, Conclusion, Acknowledgements, Conflicts of Interest, and References.
The manuscript must be typed using Cambria font, on A4 paper size with 2 cm margins on all four sides. The main text should be in 12 pt font size with 1.15 line spacing. Please ensure your manuscript is paginated and includes line numbers for review purposes.
MANUSCRIPT STRUCTURE & COMPONENTS
- Title (Cambria, Size 16, Capitalize Each Word)
The title must reflect the issue and focus of community service, subject of devotion, action, and strategies, and the purpose of expected social changes.
- Author’s Identity (For Initial Submission - Blind Review)
Do not write the identity of authors in the manuscript file for review. The author's identity (names, affiliations, and email addresses) must be provided separately in the submission system. The manuscript submitted for review should be anonymized.
- Article History and Abstract (Cambria, size 11 font Italic)
This section is to be presented in a table format as shown below. The abstract should contain:
- Background: The issue and focus of community service, the subject of devotion, and the purpose.
- Purpose of the Study: The study's purpose and objectives.
- Methods: The methods or theoretical framework applied.
- Results: The main findings of the study.
The abstract has a maximum of 150 words.
- Introduction (Cambria, size 13)
The introduction should provide a brief overview of the study within a broader context and emphasize its importance. It must contain:
- A description of the situation analysis or the objective conditions of the subject of community service (assisted community), identifying the issues and focus of the service.
- The reasons for selecting the community service subject.
- The expected social changes or community service goals, supported by both qualitative and quantitative data.
- A review of the current state of research, highlighting key publications.
- The main objective of the work and a brief mention of the principal conclusions.
- All technical terms, symbols, abbreviations, and acronyms should be defined the first time they are introduced.
References should be cited according to APA style.

- Method (Cambria, size 13)
This section must contain an explanation of:
- The research approach, the subjects of the study, and the research procedures.
- The materials and instruments used, the data collection process, and the analysis techniques employed.
- In the context of community service, it should describe the process of joint community action planning (community organizing), specifying the subjects of community service, the location of the service, and the involvement of the assisted community in the planning and organizing process.
- The methods or strategies used to achieve the expected goals.
- The stages of community service activities, which can be illustrated with a flow chart or diagram.

- Result (Cambria, size 13)
This section must be supported by sufficient data and describe:
- The outcomes of the community service process.
- The dynamics of the assistance activities (variety of actions, forms of technical or program interventions).
- The emergence of expected social changes (e.g., new institutions, shifts in behavior, rise of local leaders, new awareness).
- The research results and findings should address the research questions or hypotheses from the introduction.
Tables and figures must be cited in numerical order.

- Discussion (Cambria, size 13)
The discussion should provide:
- An interpretation of the results and relate them to the original research question or objectives.
- A description of the community service results, with a theoretical discussion relevant to the findings.
- An exploration of how the results answer the research questions (what/how) and a scientific interpretation for each finding (why).
- A discussion on whether the results align with previous studies and highlight any differences.
- The findings and their implications in the broadest context, and may suggest future research directions.
This section must be supported by relevant theoretical perspectives and references from the literature, following APA style.

The conclusion should:
- Answer the objectives of the research and the research discoveries.
- Not simply repeat the results but reflect on the theoretical implications of the findings.
- Provide recommendations for community service based on the results.
- Offer a theoretical reflection on how the findings contribute to understanding the community service process and highlight the expected or actual social changes.
- Suggest future research directions.

Acknowledge any support not covered by the author's contribution or funding sections (e.g., administrative and technical support, donations in kind).
