This was also expressed by the Head of Pamijahan Village. Therefore, the JELITA Program (Used Cooking Oil as Liquid Plant Fertilizer) is present as a solution by processing used cooking oil into organic liquid fertilizer that is useful for the agricultural sector while reducing the impact of pollution. This program was implemented by 9 IPB University students and involved 20 people from Pamijahan Village, Bogor Regency. The liquid fertilizer production process includes collecting used cooking oil, mixing it with additional materials such as molasses, EM-4, and rice bran, and fermentation for 20 days. The results of this activity show that converting used cooking oil into liquid fertilizer can be an alternative approach in managing household waste. In addition, this program contributes to meeting local fertilizer needs so that it can reduce the use of conventional chemical fertilizers.</em></p>}, number={1}, journal={Engagement: Jurnal Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat}, author={Sarfat, Muhammad Syukur and Aryasatya, Dzaky and Kafy, Ahdan and Alya, Zahra and Wira, Nabila and Aisha, Pruwita and Eltanti, Widya and Reksa, Mugia and Vikram, Dio and Iqbal, Muhammad}, year={2026}, month={Jan.}, pages={233-242} }

<jats:abstract xmlns:jats="http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/JATS1">
Background: Digital investment growth has increased participation among novice investors, yet low financial literacy and limited understanding of risk management remain key challenges in community empowerment. This program addressed these issues by introducing practical, simulation-based learning to strengthen investment awareness and decision-making skills.
Purpose of the Study: The activity aimed to improve participants’ literacy in portfolio planning, risk profiling, diversification, and return evaluation through hands-on learning.
Methods: A participatory approach was implemented by combining presentations, discussions, portfolio simulations using fixed capital, and pre–post assessments to measure learning outcomes.
Results: The program involved 15 participants and demonstrated significant improvement in investment literacy, reflected in a 38–46% increase across indicators such as portfolio construction, strategy differentiation, and diversification awareness, alongside rational decision-making in evaluating legal and illegal investment offers.
